n. One of a family of phytoestrogens found chiefly in soybeans that is under investigation for its preventive health benefits as a nutritional supplement.

The predictability of Taiga’s predicament and the little humor snippets that were sprinkled throughout the episode made it even more humorous than expected. Ryuuji hits Taiga with a broom, Ryuuji plays with breast cups, Taiga frets over her body, Taiga plays Yasuko, Taiga wants isoflavone and Minori remains just as capricious as ever. The homeroom teacher was also an unexpectedly interesting character, her internal response to the students’ comments were rather cynical, she could be the weaker version of Zetsubou Sensei, I’ll be looking foward to more of her scenes.

My hatred for Ami increased twofold after this episode, her response to her possibly killing Taiga was well…

"lalalala...lalalala...lalalala... I can't hear you!" -Ami

She obviously either cannot swim, or is merely the bitch she is. What is her problem? I just couldn’t express how much I hate her, not only is she highly conceited she is also careless with her acting, she isn’t able to prevent herself from being annoyed in front of others; probably the reason why she is starting to show her true self in front of the main cast, especially Ryuuji and Minori.

On the other hand, Minori remains a lovely character, she saw through Taiga’s fake breasts, revealed it with a creepy face and left swiftly in a stylish fashion. She even appears at the end of the episode. Such great scenes, as expected of Minori.

Taiga worries about an upcoming swimming event, she is reluctant to take part in it until she figured she needed isoflavone to improve her body. Of course, the event leading to this discovery was exceptionally wrong in all aspects. She looked like Minami Chiaki in certain shots as well.

Ryuuji had his fair share of “scenes” too. A scene had him sew breast paddings for Taiga, the sound which accompanied the action was cute but made it phenomenally disturbing. Ryuuji gets intimate with Taiga underwater as well.

Kitamura remains a douchebag by making himself seemingly unnoticeable and leaving the task of handling Ami to Ryuuji and Taiga. In addition, he becomes pretty popular with the girls for no particular reason. Noto obviously turns jealous and makes an amusing comment (see above).

The pool incident was great, espcially when Ryuuji gets in to save Taiga, however, there were also other scenes which built up the comedy throughout the episode, like Ryuuji ignoring Ami and whacking Taiga. The episode would obviously not work out well without these. In short, it was a great episode with tiny humor contributed from every character.
