Just watched Clannad, I must say it was great, the reference to Kanon cracked me up totally, I turned completely hysterical when Nagisa pulled out the Jam of Doom from Kanon.

I liked the conclusion, Yukine stopping the fight personally was absolutely touching. I had a brief bit of waterworks there, The scene however, had a one-time-use only, rewatching the episode reduced the emotional impact of the scene for unknown reasons. I’ll probably have to brainwash myself and rewatch the episode to relive the emotions I felt during that scene. Kazuto being dead was unexpected though it was hinted at a minute before it was made clear. The concluding scene was much less corny than say, Mei’s arc’s. The mysterious light balls make an appearance in Nagisa’s world, do they have any relation with the imaginary world? Hopefully this will be explained by the end of Clannad: After Story.

The next episode deals with Nagisa’s worries for Tomoya’s future, Tomoya seems to be troubled by that. The next episode will probably be the last episode we see before the story heads into the “After Story” section, all characters have their arcs covered and the next episode could easily be a connector of the initial episodes and the true After Story.
