Die KyoAni! Lucky Star references hit you for 99999 damage.

I love Yamakan, several Lucky Star references were made throughout the episode, with some overtly blatant ones like these.

I am certain that these references were put in to insult the management of Lucky Star who fired him on the pretext that “he has not reached the standard of director”. Nothing beats such great forms of revenge in my opinion, I would definitely do what Yamakan did should something similar happen.

In any case, I enjoyed this episode thoroughly. Chances of Tsugumi getting Jin are obviously slim, Jin was too busy dealing with Zange and admiring Daitetsu to notice Tsugumi making her move. I just wish Jin could be more aware of Tsugumi’s feelings, him being oblivious obviously turns Tsugumi depressed. Best of luck to Tsugumi’s efforts.

I found the idea of having the characters sing novel, it was comical and exciting. Takako and Daitetsu’s singing surprised me while Nagi’s kept me laughing, Jin, Zange and Tsugumi’s were unexpected. We will probably find something similar in the character CDs, I will be looking foward to them, especially Jin’s (muahahahaha).

Shino’s habit of leaving her eyes closed was addressed at the end of the episode. It came across as a complete surprise when she opened her eyes, unfortunately we  still don’t get to see them. Perhaps the people at 2ch will work on finding out her eye color…

I am guessing that the next episode will plunge into more plot development as the recent episodes were rather light-hearted and lacked much advancement in the story. Given recent events such as the manga ceasing production, chances of a second season are slim. The only thing I could hope for now is a solid ending for Kannagi, and a second season for more fun and laughter…
