Thank heavens Kamijou is gone these two weeks, though he appears in the prologue to comment on the issue in a much anticipated melodramatic manner.

The frog-faced doctor seems to be nothing but a poorly thought out excuse to allow characters to survive from otherwise fatal injuries. Kamijou would have died from excessive bleeding from his severed arm in the deep blood arc, so would the researcher cum aspiring teacher and Accelerator. More plot resolution variety is needed, the frog-faced doctor has to be kept as the last resort to saving characters, perhaps Kamijou would be crushed by the new antagonist’s golem and be re-inflated, right.

Apart from Accelerator’s absurd computational abilities, the plot was tangible and nitty gritty details were easily understood for the first time in the show. The Last Order arc was reasonably engaging on the whole, it wasn’t as boring as previous arcs, e.g. deep blood (what was the point of adding that in the first place, introduce a hitherto unimportant character?)

Accelerator played a good main character and I don’t mind having a spin-off series focusing on him, though there is no possibility of that ever occurring. Accelerator’s story is sound and concrete and could use further elaboration, there has to be a follow up to this arc, perhaps the next season? As for now, it’s more Kamijou baloney coming up, gross.

P.S. Count me in as an Accelerator shipper.
