Asu no Yoichi! 08
I got a heads up that this episode of Asu no Yoichi would be good, I never expected it to be that good though. Everything in the episode was well packaged, from the WashizuxAyame elements to the entire complication, it was a great change from the usual “kill Yoichi!” notion and last week’s fanservice episode.
The current episode blew me away. Shounen-genre scenes don’t appeal to me, but Asu no Yoichi’s was surprisingly different from the crap I’ve seen, like Naruto. The cheesy lines were reasonably justified for one. The inclusion of new possible love interests added depth into the episode, without which would’ve been a great disaster. I’d say that Ayame would develop a relationship with Washizu gradually, allowing for Ibuki and Yoichi to love each other without external objections.
Washizu’s similar personality and plight to Ayame’s would certainly make their relationship full of constant verbal clashes. Tsubasa’s depression over this may result in a conviction to destroy the Ikaruga girls.
Things would be even more interesting if Asu no Yoichi were shounen-ai. Anyway, I’d imagine how excited Ayame was when Yoichi appeared. She achieved her goal of getting Yoichi to care for her explicitly. I always thought Washizu was kidding when he said Torigaya was growing smaller. That was blatantly proved when a younger Torigaya was flashed on the screen. lol
P.S. Tsubasa’s laser beams were awesome. And she’ll be left disappointed by this…

Yes, the Ayame & Wa-san interaction was nice in this episode but the question that it leaves me with is this: when Ayame did finally deliver the towel to Yoichi, was it because she still truly wanted to (with the same determination) or was it because Wa-san wouldn’t accept it and told her to give it to Yoichi?

Ayame with Washizu? In such a harem anime? Never.
Also Tsubasa Laser Beam power! And Angela torn clothing <3 ! Tsubasa’s vision was also strong LOL material.
Oh man shounen ai. Anyway Torigaya has been proven to be growing shorter for quite a while now, especially at the end of last episode.

“Ayame with Washizu? In such a harem anime? Never.”
Washizu is getting too much screentime to be simply just a side character.
I’m starting to accept that Yoichi isn’t going to have the harem all for himself.

Yea, it wouldn’t be exciting if everyone liked Yoichi. There’s likely to be specific character pairings, Torigaya growing smaller preps him for a future relationship with a certain someone I guess.

Hum…if this doesn’t turn out to be another inconclusive harem (which are really annoying), here are likely outcomes:
Yoichi & Ibuki
Ayame & Wa-san
Chihaya & Torigaya (slim chance)
And the non-romantic couplings:
Tsubasa & Angela
Kagome & Chihaya
